How do the stories fit together?

Do I have to read them in order?

No. Every book in this world is a complete story with its own happily ever after. Start anywhere.

So how are they connected?

Dragon Bride and The Death Witch Guides share a city, a century of history, and a few very tired recurring characters — including one insurance adjuster who deserves better.

Season's Summonings sits a little apart. Different towns, different rules, its own closed canon. What all three share is the thing the name is about: contract magic that honors the letter of an agreement and cannot be argued with, bargained down, or lied to.

Then what's the catch?

The same one every time. The magic will enforce every clause exactly as written. It will not, under any circumstances, make somebody love you.
